A little kitten has climbed to the top of a big ribbed pumpkin, front paws held together, and tips its head back to look at a large round moon in the sky. It has big sparkly eyes, a small smile, long whiskers, pointed ears, and a curly tail that swoops up behind the pumpkin. The pumpkin takes up the bottom of the page, and its smooth, wide sections are easy for small hands to fill in. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big pumpkin: color all six pumpkin segments deep orange, leaving the thin black lines between them.
- 2Fill the cat's body, head, tail and back haunch with light orange, staying inside the black outlines.
- 3Color the inside of both ears soft pink, and fill the right front paw with cream.
- 4Use butter yellow for the left front paw so it stands out a little from the body.
- 5Leave the big eye whites bright white so the eyes look sparkly, and keep the moon circle and background white.
- 6Optional: Add a few darker orange strokes on the pumpkin and cat for a little shading and texture.
