Kitten Sitting on the Bubble Word CAT with a Yarn Ball

Coloring guide
Big bubble letters spell CAT, and a cheerful kitten sits right on top with one paw resting on a large ball of yarn. Look for the round eyes, tiny nose, open smiling mouth, long whiskers and fluffy fur around the cheeks and ears. The tail curls up behind the kitten, and a loose strand of yarn trails down on the left next to the letter C. The yarn ball is covered in curved stripes that are fun to color in. Preschoolers learning to read the word CAT will enjoy this free printable, and the thick outlines are easy for small hands to follow. Rainbow stripes look great on the yarn, and a different color on each letter will stand out against an orange or gray kitten. Looking for more? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the cat's head, body and tail with tangerine orange, leaving the eye whites and the yarn string white.
- 2Fill the inner parts of both ears, the nose and the open mouth tongue with rose pink.
- 3Color the top paw, the belly and the front paw with cream so they stand out against the orange.
- 4Color the whole yarn ball and its stripes with sky blue, keeping the yarn string at the bottom left white.
- 5Fill the big letters: C in lemon yellow, A in sky blue and T in leaf green, keeping the inside of the C and the triangle inside the A white.
- 6Optional: add a few lines of slightly darker orange on the cat's body and tail for a little depth.
