Jungle Vine Swing with Kitten, Monkey and Parrot, 44 Cats
Coloring guide
Hanging from a leafy jungle vine, a cheerful kitten with big sparkling eyes and a wide open smile holds on with both front paws. Its back feet kick out and its fluffy tail curls below. In the branches above, a grinning monkey perches on a limb on the right, and a parrot with long tail feathers sits on a branch at the top left. A small waterfall spills into a stream behind them, framed by big monstera leaves, ferns and large hibiscus-style flowers in the bottom corners. Big open spaces on the kitten and fine leaf detail around it suit kids who like easy coloring as well as trickier pages. Soft orange stripes on the kitten look nice next to a bright red and green parrot. Print it free and let little colorists build up a lush jungle. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the kitten: color its whole body, head and tail in tangerine orange, leaving the belly and inner details for later.
- 2Color the kitten's ears and inner paw with rose pink, and fill the monkey's body and arm with medium brown.
- 3Add the waterfall and pond in sky blue and soft teal, then shade the rock in charcoal gray for a cool splash.
- 4Fill the jungle leaves with grass green, emerald green, forest green and lime green, mixing shades so the plants feel lush.
- 5Color the bright red parrot head and wing, the big hibiscus flowers, and the light peach monkey face, keeping the eye whites and highlights white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker brown to the vine and tree branch for depth, and leave the background sky and small white leaves uncolored for contrast.
