Right in the middle of the page, a smiling little lamb with a fluffy, curly coat springs high over a rustic wooden fence. Its ears flop and its hooves are tucked up mid-jump. Two more lambs watch from the grassy field, one standing on the left and one on the right, both looking sweet and content. The background has rolling hills, a leafy tree on the right, tufts of grass, and small flowers scattered through the meadow. The wood grain on the fence posts and rails is a nice place to practice shading. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the rolling hills and the grass patch inside the fence with lime green, then fill the bushes on the hills with forest green.
- 2Fill the fence rails and posts with light wood brown, and use dark brown for the tree trunk and the base of the right post.
- 3Color the lamb's face, ears, and legs, and the small sheep's faces and legs with light tan, then add a coral pink inner ear on the lamb's right ear.
- 4Fill the lamb's hooves and the small sheep's hooves with charcoal gray, leaving the lamb's wool, the eyes, and the background white.
- 5Optional: add a few darker strokes of light wood brown on the fence and light tan shading under the lamb's legs for a little depth.
