Laughing Mr. Krabs and SpongeBob SquarePants on a Plank Floor

Coloring guide
On the left, Mr. Krabs has both eyestalks raised and his mouth wide open in a big laugh, with one claw clenched at his side. SpongeBob stands next to him looking up with a wide smile. He wears his little hat with an anchor emblem, plus tie, belt and square pants, and one arm is bent in front of him. They're on a wooden plank floor drawn with long lines and knots, with a thick wooden post behind them and a blank rectangular sign or panel on the right wall. Small hands can fill in the large shapes of Mr. Krabs's round belly and belt buckle, and the wood grain gives older kids detail to work on. A bright red Mr. Krabs and warm brown planks make it feel cozy. The PDF is free to download for classroom time or a rainy day. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the wooden floor: color the planks at the bottom of the page in olive brown, and the wooden post and beams in wood brown.
- 2Fill Mr. Krabs' big round body with slate blue for the pants and light blue for the shirt, then color his head and claws in bright red.
- 3Color SpongeBob's square body and face in lemon yellow, and his spotted areas in lime green, leaving the eye whites and teeth white.
- 4Add pale green to Mr. Krabs' eyestalks, khaki to SpongeBob's shorts, and dark teal to his hat, then color his belt and buckle in black.
- 5Finish with bright red for SpongeBob's tie and the red sections around his hands, and keep the sailor hat band and shirt highlights white. Optional: add a little extra olive brown shading along the floor planks to make them pop.
