Leaping Buck Deer with Antlers Outline

Leaping Buck Deer with Antlers Outline coloring sheet

Coloring guide

A young buck is caught mid-leap, facing left with its head lifted and its front legs tucked up against its chest. The hind legs stretch down and back, with the hooves just reaching the bottom of the page. Short antlers with a few pointed tines rise from its head, and one large ear, a small eye and a slim snout are drawn in simple lines. A short tail sticks out on the right. The outlines are bold and clean, and the body is one big open space, so even small kids can color it without much trouble. Try browns and tans for the coat, then leave the inside of the ear and the hoof tips a lighter or darker shade. It could also start a chat about how deer move and why bucks grow antlers. You can print it for free for a quiet nature activity at home or in class.
