Ant Climbing Alphabet Letter A with Apple

Coloring guide
Here's a happy ant scaling a big, rounded capital letter A. It has sparkling eyes and curved antennae, its little hands grip the letter, and its legs step along the slanted edge while it smiles with an open mouth. Over at the bottom left, a large apple with a stem and one leaf rests beside the letter, and small tufts of grass run along the ground at the base of both. Thick, smooth outlines and roomy shapes make it a comfortable choice for preschoolers and early learners working on the very first letter. A shiny red apple with a green leaf looks great, and a bold color on the A will help the ant stand out. Print it free for a classroom project or a weekend craft. Love this Alphabet coloring page? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big letter A with golden yellow, leaving the triangle in its middle white.
- 2Fill the apple with bright red and its leaf with leaf green, then color the stem chocolate brown.
- 3Color the ant's head, middle body, hands and feet with lime green, and the rear part of its body with leaf green.
- 4Color the ant's middle body segment and the tips of both antennae with golden yellow.
- 5Keep the eye whites, the thin legs, the grass and the background white so the drawing stays crisp.
- 6Optional: add light diagonal pencil strokes inside the letter and apple to give them a textured look.
