Letter A With Two Apples and Leaves

Letter A With Two Apples and Leaves coloring sheet

Coloring guide

A large capital letter A in a classic serif style stands in the middle of the page, drawn in thin outline so there is plenty of room to color. One apple with a small stem and a leafy sprig sits balanced on the very top point of the letter. A second, smaller apple rests at the bottom left, tucked against the slanted leg beside the base. Each apple has a dimple at the top, a short curled stem, and a leaf with little veins drawn inside it. The word Apple is printed in plain letters underneath. This free printable works well for preschoolers learning the first letter of the alphabet. Try coloring both apples a different shade, like red and green, then let kids trace the A with a finger while saying the word out loud. The leaves and the open letter shape are good for practicing staying inside the lines.
