Little Angel in Profile Blowing a Trumpet

A small angel floats sideways through the air while blowing into a long, flared trumpet held up with one fist. The angel is drawn in profile with wavy, shoulder-length hair, closed eyes and puffed cheeks. A loose, rounded robe has big sleeves and gathered folds near the bottom. Two large feathered wings sweep up and back, and a few ribbon-like strands of fabric or hair curl beneath them. The lines are thick and clean, and most of the shapes are open and roomy, so younger kids can color them without much trouble. Try giving the trumpet a shiny gold using yellow and orange crayons, then leave the robe pale for a soft glow. The feathers on each wing also make a good place to practice layering two or three shades. This free page works well for a holiday craft table or a quiet music lesson.
