Bird Guarding Nest Eggs on an Apple Branch

Coloring guide
Up on an apple tree branch sits a round-eyed little bird, looking down at a woven nest with three smooth eggs inside. Apple blossoms with five rounded petals and dotted centers open nearby, along with pointed leaves, small flower buds and several whole apples hanging from the twigs. Soft clouds fill the background corners. The bird's wing feathers and tail, plus the criss-crossed twigs of the nest, give kids lots of different areas to fill in, and the big blossoms and apples are easier for younger hands. Soft blue suits the bird, warm browns and tans fit the nest, and the apples can be bright red or green. Grab this free printable PDF for a classroom project or weekend craft.
