Bike-Riding Vampire Boy and His Bat Pal
Coloring guide
A smiling young vampire boy pedals his bicycle along a curving path while his cape streams out behind him in the wind. He has pointed ears, a small fang in his grin, a high collar and a round button at the neck. A happy baby bat peeks over the rim of the front basket, wings spread wide and tongue out. Tall pine trees, round bushes, fluffy clouds and little tufts of grass line the roadside behind them. The big spoked wheels and the wicker basket give kids plenty of detail to work on. It's a free printable that suits a Halloween party or a quiet afternoon at the table. Deep purple or red looks good on the cape, soft gray on the bat, and fresh greens on the trees so the friendly pair stands out. Looking for more? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky clouds in pale sky blue and the big pine trees in forest green, leaving the background bits you want bright.
- 2Fill the grass, bushes and the ground path edges with leaf green, then color the bike frame and the wheel edges in bright blue.
- 3Color the boy's cape in bright red and the lining under it in charcoal black, then add the red collar and the dark vest.
- 4Shade the bat in medium gray with blush pink inner ears, and give its wings royal purple, leaving the little eyes white.
- 5Fill the wicker basket with caramel brown and the wheel spokes with light tan, keeping the shirt, sneaker highlights and the vest button white.
- 6Optional: Add a little charcoal black to the hair, pants and shoes for depth, and touch up the boy's peach skin with a light blush.
