Long Eastern Dragon Perched on a Rock

A long, serpentine dragon curves in a big loop across the page, with its head lowered and its mouth wide open to show rows of small pointed teeth. It has two tall horns, a round eye, a whiskerlike line trailing back from the snout, and a few fins along its neck. The back is split into bands like armor plates, and a pointed spike sticks up near the hips. Two legs with clawed feet grip a rounded, lumpy rock at the bottom right, while the tail curls around to end in a tuft of fur at the bottom center. A leaf-shaped marking sits on the side of the body. The big open spaces are great for blending colors. Try giving the banded back plates alternating shades of green and gold, then use a softer color on the belly and a different one for the tail tuft.
