Lowercase Letter W With Polka Dot Circles

A big rounded lowercase letter w fills the page, drawn with a thick, wobbly black outline. Scattered across the inside are about eighteen small circles in different sizes, some sitting fully inside the letter and a few touching or overlapping the edges, like the ones near the top of each peak and the pair near the bottom. The two inner points of the w dip down in the middle, leaving plenty of open space around the dots. Try coloring every circle a different color and keeping the letter body a single light shade so the dots pop out. For a quick learning game, have kids count the circles, or sort them by size and color the biggest ones first. Print as many copies as you need for a letter W lesson or a classroom alphabet display.
