Lucky Cat Waving From a Tasseled Cushion

A smiling lucky cat sits on a tasseled cushion with one paw raised beside its head and its eyes closed in a happy squint. The head is tilted slightly, with striped ears, whiskers, a tiny nose and small flowers scattered across the cheeks and forehead. The body is packed with zentangle style patterns, including large blossoms, paisley shapes, dotted circles, curved lines and tiny scallops. A round bell hangs at the neck, and the cat holds an oval coin marked with Chinese characters. More characters appear on the belly. The small details make this a good fit for teens who like slow, focused coloring. Try a different palette for each pattern section, such as warm tones for the flowers and cool tones for the stripes, and leave the coin gold. A free printable like this works well with fine tip markers or colored pencils.
