Magical Girl in Anime Style Holding a Star Wand

A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.

• soft yellow
• light pink
• soft peach
• rose pink
• golden yellow

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Start with the hair: fill the long wavy pigtails and bangs with soft yellow, leaving small white shine spots near the top of the hair.
2. 2Color the skin areas (face, neck, arms, and legs) with soft peach, keeping the eyes and the little white highlights unfilled.
3. 3Fill the dress, puffy sleeves, and bows with light pink, then add the rose pink to the center bow, chest bow, and the bottom ruffles of the skirt.
4. 4Use golden yellow for the stars and the small lower skirt hem, then color the wand bows and shoe bows in rose pink.
5. 5Leave the white apron, skirt ruffles, socks, and the cuffs white, as in the example.
6. 6Optional: Add a little extra shading with a slightly darker tone of the same color along the edges of the hair and dress to make it pop.
