Mama Bear and Her Cubs Strolling Through the Forest by a Stream
Coloring guide
A big smiling mama bear walks right toward you with her head turned a little to one side, and two small cubs trot along on either side of her, both looking up with happy open mouths. Tall evergreens fill the background and grass tufts dot the ground. In front, a small stream winds past rounded rocks, with a few stones poking up from the water. Fluffy fur lines on chests and legs give crayons and colored pencils lots to do. Chestnut brown fits the mama and cubs, with lighter tan on the muzzles, then deep green for the pines and soft blue for the water. Preschoolers and early elementary kids who like bold shapes plus a little detail will enjoy this printable. Fans of Forest coloring pages often like City and Solar System & Space as well.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big mama bear and both cubs with caramel brown, leaving the eye whites and the bright highlights on the fur white.
- 2Color the rounded inner ears, the cub noses and the cheeks with coral pink and peach for a soft, friendly look.
- 3Paint the tall pine trees in forest green and sage green, and add pale green to the lower tree shadows.
- 4Color the grass patches and ground with lime green, then fill the stream water with sky blue and leave the wavy white lines untouched.
- 5Shade the rocks with medium gray, letting the stream stones and the rock shapes stand out against the green.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker brown on the bears' bellies and legs for depth, and finish the eyes with a small black dot.
