Storytime With Mama Dragon and Three Little Dragons

A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Start with the big tree trunk in tree brown and the leafy canopy in leaf green, then fill the grass patches in lime green.
2. 2Color Mama Dragon's head, neck, body and arms in light purple, and her tail in lavender purple.
3. 3Paint both big wings in coral pink, then add the horns and head spikes in pale tan and butter yellow.
4. 4Fill the belly stripes and tail bands in cream yellow, and the book cover in deep blue with its pages in sky blue and lime green hills.
5. 5Color the three baby dragons: the blue one in sky blue, the green one in leaf green with yellow green wings, and the orange one in orange with golden yellow wings.
6. 6Finish with the sunny yellow sun, the bright red mushrooms and butterflies, leaving the eye shines and mushroom spots white. Optional: add a little forest green shading along the trunk.
