Side Profile Master Chief Halo Rifle
Coloring guide
Seen from the side, this Spartan soldier is clearly Master Chief from Halo. He holds a large rifle angled across his chest, its twin barrels aiming down toward the lower left. The helmet has a wide curved visor, and the armor includes chunky shoulder plates, a boxy backpack unit, forearm panels and layered chest and hip pieces. No background, so the page is all armor and weapon, with crisp outlines and a nice mix of large and small sections. Older kids and Halo fans will like working through every panel. Try classic olive green on the armor, golden orange on the visor, and gray or silver on the rifle so the metal parts look different. The free PDF prints at home for a quick coloring break. - leaf green
- light gray
- charcoal gray
- olive green
- steel gray
- golden yellow
- dark olive green
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the large armor panels on the chest, shoulders, arms and legs with leaf green, staying inside the black outlines and leaving the background white.
- 2Color the helmet visor with golden yellow, and leave a small white shine on the glass so it looks like it catches the light.
- 3Use olive green and dark olive green on the deeper armor shadows, such as the chest sides, the backpack, the hip and the dark joints.
- 4Fill the rifle, the backpack panels and the gun parts with light gray and steel gray, then add charcoal gray to the darkest parts of the gun and the dark joints.
- 5Color the small details like the chin piece, the hand and the boot edges with the matching shades, keeping the bottom text and background white.
- 6Optional: Add a second light layer of leaf green over the armor panels to make the shading softer and more even.
