Max the Dog Sitting Beside His Ball

A small dog sits upright with his head tilted to one side and his eyes looking up, giving him a hopeful, slightly worried expression. He has floppy folded ears, a big rounded nose, a fluffy tuft at the end of his tail, and a collar with a bone-shaped tag hanging from it. A round ball with a speckled, textured surface rests on the ground in front of him. This looks like Max from The Secret Life of Pets. The lines are bold and clean, so the page works well for younger kids using chunky crayons. Try coloring the dog in warm brown with a lighter chest, then pick a bright color for the collar so the tag stands out. The ball is a good spot for practicing dots and small details with a fine marker. The printable sheet also makes a nice prompt for a short story about what the dog wants to play next.
