Mermaid Fairy Sitting With Long Hair and Pearls

A fairy with a mermaid tail sits sideways on the ground, leaning on one arm with her other hand resting near her hip. She has a beaded headband, a beaded necklace, and strings of pearls wrapped around both upper arms. Her top looks like a shell, and her midriff is bare. Long hair sweeps down one side in big smooth sections, and pointed, leaf-like wings stick out behind her shoulders. The tail is covered in wavy stripes and ends in a large, flowing fin at the bottom of the page. Crisscross cuffs sit on her wrist and near her waist. Try coloring the pearls in soft whites and pinks, then use two or three shades of blue and green in the tail stripes so the wavy lines stand out. It's a good page for practicing small details with a fine pencil or marker.
