Metal Sonic, the robotic look-alike of Sonic the Hedgehog, is caught in the middle of a leap in this bold line drawing. One arm is raised with sharp, clawed fingers curled near his face, and the other hand reaches down and out. His jointed limbs show rivets and segments, and he has pointed ears, narrow eyes with a menacing grin, and a round chest panel with a gem-like circle in the middle. Big rounded boots with wheel-like details finish the pose. With no background, kids can give all their attention to the robot. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by filling the big head, chest, arms, and legs with royal blue, staying inside the lines and leaving the white mouth teeth and lower teeth blank.
- 2Color both shoe soles with fire red and the bottom foot pieces with crimson red, and add dark red to the small ankle joints near the feet.
- 3Use golden yellow for the inner ears, the ear tips, the chest core, and the large claw tips on the right hand.
- 4Fill the collar, joints, knuckles, forearm sections, and claws with pale silver, then use warm gray on the left claw tip and wrist.
- 5Add navy blue to the back of the left hand and medium blue to the small ankle rings, and use charcoal black for the chest gem pieces and the dark parts of the left claw.
- 6Optional: add slightly darker shading with navy blue along the edges of the blue body parts to make the robot look more three-dimensional.
