Minato Namikaze Mid-Air Leap from Naruto
Coloring guide
Minato Namikaze from Naruto bursts across the page in a mid-air leap, one knee pulled up and his sharp eyes fixed on you. His front hand holds a three-pronged kunai, and a second kunai pokes in at the top right corner, which adds to the sense of motion. There's plenty of spiky hair to color, along with a forehead protector with a swirl-style leaf symbol, a high-collared vest with a round shoulder emblem, bandaging wrapped on the thigh and open-toed sandals. The background is plain white, so young artists can concentrate on the character. Bright yellow hair and a deep green vest look good, and the metal kunai can stay silver or gray. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the navy blue areas: the raised arm sleeve, the arm across the chest, the raised leg and the thigh wrap, filling each one evenly.
- 2Color the face and the hand holding the kunai in light peach, and the glove on the left hand in warm gray.
- 3Fill the blond strands by the face and the spike near the forehead with golden yellow, and the spike at the back with dark gold.
- 4Add the sage green on the shoulder strap and waist wrap, dark olive inside the hood, and crimson red on the round shoulder bands.
- 5Use charcoal gray for the kunai blades, the sandal straps and the shoe, and light gray for the headband plate and the thigh strap.
- 6Optional: Leave the white jacket, the lower robe, the leg bandages and the white hair as white paper, and add a little darker navy blue along the shadowed folds of the sleeves.
