Jungle Monkey Shooting Hoops: Basketball Coloring Page
Coloring guide
Hanging from a jungle vine with one hand, a cheerful monkey reaches out with the other to toss a basketball at the hoop. The ball is caught in the air just over the net, and the backboard is nailed to a tall palm trunk on the right. The monkey has round ears, a curly tail and a big open smile. In the bottom left, a toucan with a large beak sits on a leafy branch watching the game, and big tropical leaves fill the bottom right with bushy shrubs behind it all. Younger kids will like the large open areas, and older ones can tackle the leaves and trunk. Try orange-brown on the monkey, bright orange on the ball, and yellow with black on the toucan's beak so it stands out against the green. Free to print. Add this to your NBA / Basketball coloring page collection, alongside Swimming and Tennis.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.

- chocolate brown
- tan brown
- peach skin
- bright orange
- navy blue
- golden yellow
- light green
- amber
- dark green
- bright red
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the monkey's skin: color the face, belly, ear and hanging hand with peach, leaving the eye whites and the smile teeth white.
- 2Fill the monkey's head, arms, legs and curly tail with chocolate brown, then color the palm trunk and wooden backboard with tan brown.
- 3Color the basketball bright orange, leaving the thin dividing lines white, and fill the toucan's beak with amber and its tip with charcoal black.
- 4Use leaf green and forest green for the palm fronds, the big leaves at the bottom, the bush on the left and the vine leaves at the top, alternating shades so neighboring leaves look different.
- 5Color the toucan's belly golden yellow, its wing and head navy blue, and the hoop rim bright red, keeping the net and the background white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on one side of the trunk and the monkey's legs with a deeper shade of the same color to make them look rounder.
