Moon Mission Astronaut for Girl Power Fans
Coloring guide
On the moon, a smiling young astronaut holds a tall flagpole while the flag waves off to one side. Her round bubble helmet lets her hair peek out, and her chunky spacesuit has a small control panel on the chest, big gloves and sturdy boots with padded knees. The pole is planted in a little mound of lunar dust, and craters of all sizes and small rocks dot the ground. Earth hangs behind her with its continents outlined, and a handful of stars twinkle around the page. The flag is blank, so your child can invent any design they like, maybe a yellow and red pattern or a team flag. Large shapes and clear lines suit preschoolers and early elementary kids, and this free printable fits a school space unit or a quiet afternoon at home. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the large red flag and the golden yellow ball on top of the pole, keeping the pole medium gray.
- 2Color the face and visible skin in light peach, then fill the hair with brown and add bangs in the same brown.
- 3Fill the helmet visor and the globe: use pale sky blue for the visor shine area and bright blue with grass green for the Earth's land and oceans.
- 4Color the boots, gloves, and knee pads in bright blue, and the red waist belt and chest buttons in bright red.
- 5Add the gray moon ground, craters, and rocks with dark gray and light gray, leaving the suit, helmet rim, and backpack white.
- 6Optional: add a little brown shading on the hair and dark gray on the boot soles to make the details pop.
