Moonlit Hill With a Smiling Monster Truck
Coloring guide
It's nighttime, and a friendly monster truck with big round eyes and a wide smile is parked on top of a grassy hill. The tires are huge and chunky with zigzag tread, the suspension has visible coil springs, four round lights run across the cab roof, and the grille is drawn as horizontal lines. A large full moon with crater circles hangs overhead near a few stars and two puffy clouds. A wooden fence and small grass tufts frame the hill at the bottom. Thick outlines and roomy shapes make this a good free printable for preschoolers and early elementary kids still working on pencil control. Color the truck red or orange, then add a deep blue sky and a pale yellow moon so the night really shows. - 1Start with the big red truck body and the windshield and side windows, coloring them fire red and sky blue, leaving the eye whites and the hill white.
- 2Color the three big tires and the small tire bits in charcoal gray, then fill the hubcaps and the front axle in light gray.
- 3Fill the fence posts and rails with caramel brown, and color the two clouds and the top-left star area in sky blue and soft yellow.
- 4Color the moon in golden yellow with a few craters, then color the stars and roof lights soft yellow.
- 5Add the grille bars in light gray, the smile in medium gray, and the springs in soft yellow, keeping the eye whites white.
- 6Optional: add a few light strokes of charcoal gray along the tires and fence edges for a bit of depth.
