Sleepy Kittens Snuggled by Mama in a Warrior Cats Leaf Nest
Coloring guide
Mama cat curls her fluffy striped body around two tiny kittens and smiles down at them. The kittens are tucked in close with their eyes shut and little smiles, one resting its head on the other. Her big bushy tail wraps around the family, and one paw rests out in front. The cozy nest is made of leafy clumps with a few large leaves along the bottom. Curved tree trunks and hanging moss or foliage frame the scene, and a couple of rocks sit on the right. Bold outlines and open spaces work for younger kids, and older kids can shade the fur stripes and leaf textures. Warm orange and cream suit the cats, with soft greens and browns for the bed. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big orange areas: fill mama cat's body, tail and head with orange, leaving the eye whites and small highlights white.
- 2Color the two kittens: fill the left kitten with gray and the right kitten with orange, then add pale pink inside their ears and cream on the right kitten's tail and paws.
- 3Fill the tree trunks on the left with brown and the hanging moss at the top right with light green.
- 4Color the leaves and bushes at the bottom and sides in leaf green and light green, mixing both shades for a natural look.
- 5Add pink inside mama cat's ears, peach on her cheeks and a burnt orange stripe on her head, then leave the eye shines and small paw highlights white.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of gray or orange along the fur to give the cats a soft, fluffy texture.
