Duck Family in a Lily Pond: Animals Coloring Page

Across the pond glides a smiling mother duck, with three fluffy ducklings paddling in a neat line behind her, all looking happy and curious. Gentle ripples circle around them, and tall cattails and grass frame the scene on both sides. A blooming water lily sits on a lily pad at the top, and a bigger lily and more round pads fill the bottom of the page. Thick, clear outlines and roomy shapes suit preschoolers and early elementary kids still building pencil control, and the ripples and feathers give older children finer detail. Soft yellow for the ducklings, warm orange for the beaks, bright greens for the pads and browns for the cattails would look nice. It's a free printable that fits a calm afternoon at home or in the classroom.
