Animals on a Pond Walk: Mother Duck and Four Ducklings

Mother duck is all smiles as she waddles along the edge of the water, with four ducklings marching in a tidy line behind her. Every duckling has a tiny beak and a happy face. Tall cattails and long grass rise on the left behind the smallest ones. Up front there's a little pond with three lily pads on rippled water, along with a few grass tufts and rounded stones on the bank. Outlines are bold and clean, so the big areas on mom are easy for small hands, and the ducklings and cattails give some smaller spots to practice on. Bright yellow for the ducklings, soft orange for beaks and feet, and rich greens for the lily pads and reeds would look great. Print it at home, and maybe keep a few extra copies handy.
