A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big red body parts first: the front fender, fuel tank, seat cowl, front fairing and rider's chest using tomato red, leaving the small white highlights untouched.
- 2Fill the rider's shoulder and back with coral pink and bright red, and color the helmet top tomato red while keeping the visor medium gray.
- 3Color the two flames and the smoke tufts sky blue, leaving the thin white flame highlights empty.
- 4Fill the title letters and the exclamation mark with lemon yellow, then add golden yellow to the glow near the front wheel.
- 5Color the speed lines and the background road in light gray, keeping the open space around the tire treads white.
- 6Optional: Add charcoal gray shadows under the bike and inside the rear tire to make the racer look like he is leaning into the turn.
