Mufasa Mid-Step on a Rocky Ledge

A grown male lion stands on a rocky ledge with one front paw lifted and bent, as if he is mid-step. His head turns toward us with a calm, slightly smiling face, whiskers drawn on both cheeks. A long, thick mane sweeps down from the top of his head over his neck and chest, with plenty of pointed strands to fill in. His tail curls up at the back and ends in a small tuft. The toes on each paw are clearly outlined, and a few rough ground lines sit under his feet. This looks like Mufasa from The Lion King. Try warm golden tans for the body and a deeper brown or auburn for the mane, then use two shades in the mane so the strands stand out. The large open areas on the body are easy for younger kids to color, and this free printable gives older kids a good chance to practice shading.
