Mufasa Scrambling Up a Steep Cliff Face

A big maned lion scrambles up a steep rock face with a worried look, his mouth open to show his teeth and his eyes wide. One huge front paw with long curved claws reaches toward us in the foreground. The other paw is stretched high above his head, gripping the top of the cliff. His back feet are braced on a rocky ledge at the lower left, and puffy outlined clouds fill the sky behind him. This looks like Mufasa from The Lion King during the cliff scene. The mane, whiskers and rock cracks give plenty of line work to fill in. Try warm golden browns for the fur and a darker shade for the mane, then layer greys and tans on the rock so it looks rough. This free printable also works well for talking about emotions, since the lion's face shows fear so clearly.
