Cave Obstacle Course Hurdle Jump with a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle
Coloring guide
Here's a determined little turtle with a fierce, focused face, sprinting and jumping over a rope-wrapped wooden hurdle on a cave obstacle course. A knotted sash with trailing tails is tied around his waist, and his shell has a neat segmented pattern. Look around and you'll spot a wooden bench, a stack of crates, round stepping stones, swinging ropes with a wooden bar, hanging paper lanterns and cloth banners with a swirl emblem. A torch sits near a stone staircase in the background, and cracks across the cave walls give kids lots of texture to fill in. Bright green skin and a bold red sash work well, with warm yellows and oranges on the lanterns so they glow against gray rock. Download the free PDF to add to your collection. - 1Start with the big cave walls and ceiling rocks in warm taupe, then fill the floor and ground stones with sand beige.
- 2Color the turtle's head, arms, and legs in bright green, and the back shell in forest green.
- 3Fill the shell plates and belt area with golden yellow, and the headband tails and big paper lantern in scarlet red.
- 4Color the hurdle bar, posts, bench, and pillars in caramel brown, and the mats and stacked boxes in navy blue.
- 5Add slate gray to the stepping stones, rocks, and hurdle bases, and dark brown to the swing bar and bench front.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading on the shell edges and under the rocks to make the scene feel more like a cave.
