Nokk the Water Horse Rearing in Frozen 2 Waves
Coloring guide
A graceful horse stands on a swell of water with one front leg lifted and bent, its neck arched and its head turned to the side. This is the Nokk, the water spirit horse from Frozen 2. The long mane and tail are drawn as flowing, wave-like ribbons, and little droplets and splashes fly off them. Curved water lines swirl around the hooves at the bottom. The large open areas make the horse easy to color, while the thin wavy mane and tail give older kids more to work on. Deep blues, teals and light aqua can fill the body, and a few white patches left in the mane and tail will look like sparkling water. Save the free PDF and keep a few extra copies handy. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- caramel brown
- olive green
- dark chocolate brown
- charcoal gray
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the horse body and neck with caramel brown, staying inside the outlines and leaving the muzzle and small highlights white.
- 2Color the mane, the long tail and the splash at the tail tip with dark chocolate brown, keeping the little white flecks unpainted.
- 3Fill the grass patches, the ground tuft at bottom left and the water drop on the left with olive green.
- 4Color both front and back legs in caramel brown, leaving the gap between the legs and the space under the belly white.
- 5Add the charcoal gray streak across the lower legs and the small dark patch near the ground to show the shadows.
- 6Optional: add a few thin darker brown lines along the body and neck for a bit of depth.
