Old West Cowboy Garfield Ready to Draw
Coloring guide
In the middle of a dusty Old West street, Garfield strikes a tough gunslinger pose. He's wearing a big cowboy hat with a feather in the band, a patterned bandana, a belt with a large buckle, and chunky boots with spurs. The funny part is that his holsters hold a fork and a knife instead of pistols. Wooden storefronts behind him have signs that say EAT, HOTEL and PIZZA, a cow skull and a few grass tufts sit on the ground, and a torn-paper border frames the whole scene. Detail lovers can enjoy the bandana pattern and the star on the boot. Warm orange for Garfield, brown for the hat and boots, and bright red for the bandana all work well. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by coloring the big ground area at the bottom and the dusty sand around the boots with sand yellow, leaving the cow skull and small stones light.
- 2Fill Garfield's body, face, hands and tail with orange, and color the lower face and cheeks in the same orange.
- 3Color the cowboy hat crown, brim and the vest with tan brown, then add the bright red hat band and neckerchief.
- 4Paint the boots and pants: dark brown for the boot bottoms and straps, deep blue for the boot tops, and light blue for the sleeves.
- 5Add the pale yellow patches on the forehead and cheeks, the golden yellow belt buckle and boot star, and leave the eye whites white.
- 6Optional: Add a few darker lines in the hat and boots with a deeper brown to make the cowboy look more textured.
