Coloring guide

A round medal hangs at the bottom of a long ribbon that loops up into a rounded triangle shape. The ribbon is drawn as a wide band with a thin line running along its length, so it has an inner and outer edge to color. The two ends come together just above the circle and tuck in behind the medal. The medal itself is a plain, empty circle, which leaves plenty of room to draw your own design. Kids could color the ribbon in red, white, and blue stripes, then fill the circle with gold, silver, or bronze crayon. It also works well for a classroom activity where each child designs a medal for a kind helper, a good sport, or a race winner. The simple shapes and large open spaces make it easy for younger children to color, and you can print as many copies as you need.
