Six Decorated Donuts in an Open Bakery Box

An open cardboard box with its lid folded back holds six round donuts, lined up in two columns of three, and every one has a different topping. At the top left you'll find sprinkles, and next to it a donut with wavy icing lines. The middle row has one covered in little circles and another dotted with outlined stars. Down at the bottom, the left donut wears diagonal icing stripes while the right one has a mix of sprinkles. Tiny hearts and short sparkle lines drift around the box. All those wavy edges and small spaces suit crayons or colored pencils. Pink icing and bright yellow stars would look good on the star donut, then pick a different color for each of the other five. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the inside of the box, its back wall and floor hot pink, and the side walls and flap corners soft pink.
- 2Color the bottom edges of all six donuts warm orange so they look golden and baked.
- 3Fill the blue-frosted donut on the middle left with sky blue, leaving the small round dots white.
- 4Color the chocolate frosting on the top-left donut and the two donuts on the bottom left with chocolate brown, keeping the sprinkles and drizzle stripes white.
- 5Paint the wavy stripes on the top-right donut with hot pink, soft pink and blush pink, leaving the gaps white.
- 6Add the stars on the middle-right donut in lavender purple, bubblegum pink and golden yellow, and color the little hearts hot pink. Optional: add a little shading along the box edges.
