Open Palm With Five Fingers Spread Wide

A single open hand fills the page, shown palm side with all four fingers and the thumb spread apart. The outline is bold and black, and each finger has small crease lines marking the joints. The thumb stretches out to the right with a rounded tip, and one curved line sits in the middle of the palm. The inside of the hand is left completely blank, so there is plenty of room to color. This is the ASL sign for the number five, which makes it a handy page for early number practice. Try coloring the hand in a skin tone of your choice, then have kids hold up their own hand next to the page and count each finger out loud as they trace it. It is a free printable that works well for classrooms and quiet time at home.
