Treasure Chest on the Ocean Floor with Pearls and Starfish

Sitting open on the sandy seabed, a wooden treasure chest overflows with stacked gold coins, round beads and a long pearl necklace hanging over the front. A scallop shell is tucked in at the back. Metal rivets, plank lines and a keyhole lock give careful crayons lots to do. Wavy seaweed grows on both sides, and little sand mounds and bubbles dot the ground. Two smiling starfish with dotted skin sit in the bottom corners, with a spiral seashell and a ridged clam shell close by. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the chest body, lid and inside panels with chocolate brown, leaving the pearls and background white.
- 2Fill the metal trim, corner edges, latch and clasp with golden yellow.
- 3Color the coins and their tops with lemon yellow, keeping the pearl necklace and coin shine white.
- 4Color the seaweed on both sides with leaf green and forest green, then add mint green to the tips.
- 5Color the big starfish orange, the small starfish coral, the sand pale yellow, and the shells sky blue, soft pink and lavender purple.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of chocolate brown on the chest wood and forest green on the seaweed for depth.
