Park Seesaw Fun With a Boy and a Doraemon-Style Robot Cat
Coloring guide
A boy in round glasses and a hooded sweatshirt holds the seesaw handle with a grin, and across from him sits a cheerful robot-style cat. The cat has pointed ears, headphone-like ear pieces, a round mechanical body with a circular target-style detail, and a bendy tail with a star on the tip. Behind the pair you'll find a big leafy tree with a few leaves floating down, a wooden park bench and rounded bushes, while flowers and tufts of grass fill the front. Small hands can handle the wide shapes of the seesaw, tree and bench, and older kids can take on the flower petals and leaves. A sunny yellow star on the tail and a bright blue hoodie for the boy would be fun. Save it as a free PDF for class time or a rainy day. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background: fill the grass with lime green and the bushes and tree leaves with leaf green, leaving the empty sky and the tree's leaf outlines white.
- 2Paint the seesaw board and the bench wood in caramel brown and orange, and color the seesaw base and stand parts in golden yellow.
- 3Fill the cat's body and head in orange, its inner ear in coral pink, and its star-tipped tail in lemon yellow, then add the robot discs and headphones in bright blue and aqua blue.
- 4Color the boy's hoodie and jeans in sky blue, his face and hands in peach, his hair in dark brown, and his shoes in bright red and cream.
- 5Keep the eye whites, the flowers at the bottom left and top left, and the empty background white so the details pop.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker shade of the same color along the cat's shadowed side and the boy's hoodie folds for extra depth.
