Peekaboo Baby Shark Hiding in Seaweed With a Little Crab

Coloring guide
A smiling baby shark with big round eyes peeks out from behind tall, wavy seaweed, showing a few little triangle teeth and one small flipper. Down below, a tiny crab with its claws raised sits on a rounded, pebbly mound of sand and grins up at you. Three bubbles of different sizes drift up in the top right corner, and a few small rocks and sprouts sit at the bottom edges. The seaweed blades have wide open sections that little hands can fill in easily, while the eyes, teeth and crab legs give older kids finer detail. Soft sky blue or teal suits the shark, and a bright orange-red crab will stand out nicely against the green seaweed. Download it as a free PDF for a classroom project or weekend craft. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the shark's head, top fin, side fin and the bubbles' inner areas in sky blue, leaving the lower face and neck white.
- 2Fill the tall seaweed blades with bright green, then add deep green on the darker strands to create depth.
- 3Color the crab's body, claws and legs in coral red, leaving the small gaps between the shell and legs white.
- 4Fill the small bubbles with light sky blue, the rocks with light gray and the pebbles with sandy brown.
- 5Keep the eye whites and the small shine spots white so the eyes look bright and lively.
