Peekaboo Black Panther Cub with a Paw Print Trail
Coloring guide
In the top right corner, a little panther cub with big round eyes and whiskers peeks out from behind a large monstera leaf. Five paw prints that grow bigger as they go lead down the page from the cub across the jungle floor. Along the trail are big hibiscus flowers, ferns, broad tropical leaves, grass tufts and three spotted mushrooms in different sizes. The paw prints have thick, simple outlines that small hands can color easily, and the leafy corners add more detail for older kids. Deep purple or midnight blue suits the cub, with bright pink or red hibiscus and red-capped mushrooms to stand out from the greens. Download this free PDF for a classroom project or a weekend craft. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big hibiscus flowers on the top left and center with coral red, and the hibiscus on the right with soft pink.
- 2Fill the large leaves with fresh green and the monstera leaves on the right with emerald green, then add forest green to the darker leaves.
- 3Paint the paw prints in warm brown and the mushroom caps in coral red, leaving the spots white and the mushroom stems cream.
- 4Color the bottom right hibiscus in bright yellow and the ferns and grass in lime green, then fill the rock with cool gray.
- 5Add soft pink to the cub's ears and cheeks and a touch of amber on the chin, keeping the eye shines and highlights white.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker shade of each color along one side of the leaves and petals to give them depth.
