Penguin Chicks Sliding Down a Playground Slide

Two fluffy penguin chicks take a ride on a long curved slide, one near the top with its wings spread wide and the other sliding down the middle with its feet out in front. A ladder with horizontal rungs runs up the left side of the slide. On the right, a tall adult penguin stands on the ice with its beak pointed toward the chicks, wings held out, and a smooth belly outlined against its body. In the lower right corner sits a small rectangular box filled with a mound of snow or sand. The chicks have scribbly, feathery tummies that are fun to shade with short pencil strokes, while the adult has large open areas for solid color. Try grey or soft brown for the chicks' fuzz and keep the adult's back dark to show how young and grown penguins look different. This free printable works well for a winter activity or an animal unit.
