Jungle Explorer Pororo With a Leaf Umbrella
Coloring guide
Wearing a safari-style pith helmet, a little penguin strolls down a jungle path with a huge leaf held overhead as an umbrella. It carries a backpack with buckled straps, and it has a big smile and round, sparkly eyes. Up on the right, a cheerful monkey hangs from a leafy branch by one hand, its curly tail swinging. Large monstera leaves, banana-style fronds, bushy shrubs and two hibiscus-like flowers in the bottom corners fill out the scene. Bold outlines and open spaces help younger children, and the leaf patterns give older kids more to work on. Soft greens and yellows fit the leaves, warm tan suits the helmet, and the flowers can be bright pink or red. This free printable is handy for a rainy day or a jungle-themed lesson. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big umbrella leaf and the jungle leaves around the penguin: fill them with bright green, leaving the leaf highlights white.
- 2Color the darker leaves and plants in the corners and along the bottom with forest green to add depth.
- 3Fill the penguin's flippers, the back edge of its body, and the backpack straps with charcoal gray and light brown, keeping the belly white.
- 4Color the explorer hat in khaki tan, with the band and the backpack in dark brown.
- 5Paint the monkey's face and feet in light peach, its arms and tail in chestnut brown, and keep its eyes and the branch details light.
- 6Finish with the hibiscus flowers in rose pink and bright red, the beak in golden yellow, the feet in tangerine orange, and the ground in lime green. Optional: add a little darker shading under the penguin and leaves for depth.
