Tall Penguin Parent Gazing at a Fluffy Chick

Coloring guide
The heart of this page is a quiet moment between two penguins. A tall parent lowers its head with a gentle look, and a small fluffy chick stands right beside it, looking up. The grown-up has a long pointed beak, a curved patch at the neck, wide flippers hanging down and big webbed feet. The chick is drawn with soft, feathery edges, round eyes, a tiny beak and little feet. Four snowflakes and a few round dots drift in the background, and a couple of snowy mounds sit near the ground. Small hands will manage the big shapes easily, and older kids can take their time on the chick's fuzzy outline. Pale gray works well for the chick's body, and bright orange for both beaks makes them pop. Print it for class time or a rainy day. Add this to your Penguin coloring page collection, alongside Bear and Cow.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the chick's fluffy body and the penguin's tall back and wings in light gray and charcoal gray, leaving the big belly area white.
- 2Color the penguin's neck patch golden yellow, then fill the chick's feet and the penguin's big feet with soft orange.
- 3Fill the penguin's beak and the chick's beak with soft orange, leaving the small eye shines white.
- 4Color the snowflakes and the small bubbles sky blue, leaving the snowflake arms white where they show.
- 5Optional: Add a little extra shading in charcoal gray along the penguin's back and wings for depth.
