A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the sky and the distant mountains' background with sky blue, leaving the snowy mountain tops white.
- 2Fill the pine trees with forest green, keep their snowy tips white, and color the small tree in the middle medium gray.
- 3Shade the penguin's head, back and flippers with charcoal gray, keeping the face, chest and belly white, then color the beak golden yellow.
- 4Color the scarf with cherry red and cream stripes, and fill the penguin's feet with bright orange.
- 5Paint the sled planks honey brown, its posts chestnut brown, the front and seat rope golden tan, and the runners steel blue, leaving the snow around it white.
- 6Optional: add a darker touch of charcoal gray along the edges of the penguin's body for a bit of depth.
