Pitcher Mid Windup Ready to Throw

A baseball pitcher is caught in the middle of his throwing motion, with a glove stretched out in front on one arm and the other arm swung back holding the ball. He wears a cap, a button-up jersey, a belt, baggy knee-length pants, striped socks pulled up the calves, and cleats with little stripes on the sides. His legs are spread wide in a long stride, which makes the page feel full of movement. The uniform has plenty of fold lines and shadows, so there is a lot to work with. Kids could try a team color scheme for the cap, jersey and socks, then leave the glove brown and the ball white with red stitches. This free printable also works well for a lesson on sports and motion, since the pose shows each step of a pitch.
