Playful Shark With a Beach Ball on Its Nose

Head tipped back, this smiling shark balances a big striped beach ball on the very tip of its snout. Its eyes look up at the ball and its toothy grin is wide open. Two little striped fish with big friendly eyes swim nearby, one on each side. Round bubbles of different sizes float up through the water, and wavy seaweed and small rocks fill the bottom corners. The shark has gill lines on its side and large smooth fins that are easy to color in. Thick, clean outlines work well for preschoolers and early elementary kids with crayons or markers. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the shark's body, both fins, and the two large ball side panels with sky blue, leaving the eye whites and the white cap on the ball untouched.
- 2Color the middle and top panels of the beach ball golden yellow and the right panel bright red, keeping the small white cap at the top white.
- 3Color the two clownfish with orange on their bodies and faces, light orange on their tails, and tangerine orange on their top and bottom fins, leaving the white stripes white.
- 4Color the seaweed with forest green and grass green, the rocks at the bottom with sandy tan, and the seaweed base with sage gray, then fill the bubbles with light blue.
- 5Color the inside of the shark's open mouth deep red and the tongue coral pink, keeping the teeth and the shark's eye whites white. Optional: add a little darker blue along the shark's belly for depth.
