Playground Slide Fun with a Huggy Wuggy (Poppy Playtime) Style Monster
Coloring guide
Arms stretched high, a big, furry, grinning creature zooms down a playground slide, and the round paw pads on its feet face the viewer. At the bottom, two kids in hoodies cheer with their hands raised, a boy with short hair and a girl with a ponytail. Behind them you'll see a wooden play tower with a ladder, a swing set, a seesaw, and a sandbox with a bucket, a little shovel and a sandcastle. Trees, puffy clouds, a fence, flowers and grass tufts fill the background. All that fuzzy fur is a good place to practice short pencil strokes. Teal or purple would help the creature stand out against the green grass. Download and print this free page for a quiet, creative moment. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big sky-free background first: leave the clouds white, then fill the grass, bushes and trees with grass green.
- 2Fill the slide and its edges with lemon yellow, and color the monster's fur, feet and arms with light tan.
- 3Color the wooden tower, ladder, swing frame and roof with caramel orange and tomato red, and the seesaw and boy's shirt with sky blue.
- 4Paint the girl's shirt and tongue with rose pink, and her hair and ponytail with golden yellow.
- 5Optional: Add a little darker shading on the monster's fur and the grass near the slide to make the picture pop.
