Parade Day Police Car with a Big Ribbon Bow
Coloring guide
Leaning toward the open window of his patrol car, a smiling officer in a cap waves, and three cheerful children on the sidewalk to the left wave back. One of them holds a small American flag. The police car has a light bar on the roof, a star badge on the door, and a big ribbon bow tied to the front grille. Triangle bunting flags stretch across the street overhead, and balloons float near old-fashioned lamp posts with hanging flower baskets. Farther back you can spot a church steeple, shop buildings, and a parade float carrying more people. Confetti is scattered over the road. A bright red bow and a mix of colors on the balloons will keep the parade feeling lively. The free PDF makes a fun afternoon activity. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the sky and the big open background areas with light blue, leaving the white cloud and the bunting flags white.
- 2Color the whole car body, hood, roof and bumpers charcoal black, then add dark gray to the seats and dashboard.
- 3Add red to the light bar stripes and the balloons, and use bright blue for the matching balloons and light bar sections.
- 4Color the grass and bushes with grass green, the tree leaves with leaf green, and the faces and hands with peach, leaving the eye whites white.
- 5Fill the rosette center with golden yellow, keep the ribbon tails white, color the headlights pale blue, and add navy blue to the officer's badge and hat.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of dark gray along the lower sides of the car for a bit of depth.
