Officer Scrubbing a Police Car with Sponge and Bucket

Coloring guide
A smiling officer in a cap, short-sleeved uniform, badge, and shoulder radio scrubs the side of a police car with a big foamy sponge. His other hand holds a bucket of soapy water, and a second bucket sits on the ground beside the car. Soap bubbles float around its front end, and the car has a light bar on the roof, a grille, headlights, and a side mirror. A coiled garden hose with a nozzle lies in the foreground near small puddles and tufts of grass. Behind him are a fence, bushes, the corner of a house, and a puffy cloud. Bubbles and a sponge give little hands lots of fun details. Try bright blue for the uniform, deep navy or black-and-white for the car, and a pale blue or lilac tint for the bubbles. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big background areas first: the bushes and trees in grass green, the building in pale yellow with golden tan trim, and the ground around the car in light gray.
- 2Fill the police car with deep blue on the hood and bumper areas, sky blue on the windshield and side, and bright blue with light steel blue on the light bar and headlight frame, leaving the headlights, license plate and foam bubbles white.
- 3Paint the officer's uniform in navy blue for the shirt, pants, cap and belt, then add golden yellow on the cap badge and shirt badge and a golden tan belt pouch.
- 4Color the officer's face and hands in peach skin, the shoes and grille in charcoal black or dark gray, and the tires in dark gray with light gray hubs.
- 5Fill the buckets with bright blue and light steel blue, and color the hose in light gray with a green end. Leave the suds on top of the buckets and the sponge white.
- 6Optional: add darker blue shading under the car and on the uniform folds to make the drawing pop.
